Welcome to UK Homestay English!

Welcome to UK Homestay English!Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Len Attard. That’s me in the photo on the left with my wife Su and our dog Bob. We also have two cats, Bertie and Patsy, as well as some chickens!

I am here to help ESOL* students learn English whilst living in England. I offer students the opportunity to immerse themselves in British culture by coming to live in my family home and learn English with me whilst experiencing British culture and interacting with English people on a daily basis.

When you come to learn English with me you will be staying with myself, my wife and our pets in our English country cottage in Gloucestershire. Our cottage has 3 bedrooms, high speed Wi-Fi and a very large garden surrounded by beautiful English countryside.

Gloucestershire is a county in the South West of England that includes the Cotswold Hills, The Royal Forest of Dean and the River Severn. With so many places of interest nearby, Gloucestershire is a great place for foreign students to visit and learn English.

*What is an ESOL student?
ESOL stands for ‘English for Speakers of Other Languages’, so if you are here looking to find a place to learn or improve your English then you are an ESOL student!

Student Testimonials

I learned a lot with Len and had some great fun getting to know the English culture. I particularly enjoyed going to Su’s art gallery and doing some painting.

I had an amazing time. It was just like being at home. Going for walks in the surrounding countryside and ending up in local pubs was particularly enjoyable. Trips to Bristol, Oxford and London were also very inspiring. I met lots of English people on my trip and have made some great friends. I also learned about cricket!

I learnt so much on my homestay in Gloucestershire. Len’s method of teaching was very satisfying. And to then be able to practise what I’d learned each day amongst English people was very useful.

I had fun in England. I’d recommend a homestay course to improve your English. It has definitely helped me progress a lot quicker than any other English course I have taken before. Thanks Len
